Kemper Taf Drive King5/10/2021
As usual, Kemper takes the technology and concepts one step further and approaches Overdrive totally open minded, to find out what is actually going on under the hood, listening, measuring, and searching for crucial parameters and possibly overcoming urban myths. The result now is a kind of Uber-Drive which features an advanced algorithm that is capable of creating all the special overdrive characteristics in just one unit by just adding two additional particular parameters. As an Amuse Gueule from the lab, PROFILER OS 8.0 also includes an OCD-inspired Distortion.
And there is more to come from the Distortion realms in the next Update. All MBritts Profiles (assuming hed sell them as a single pack). All SoundSide Profiles (assuming theyd sell them as a single pack). Hello, I recently purchased a Kemper (currently on its way), and was looking at purchasing a single profile pack for the time being. If you could purchase just one Kemper profile pack (no matter how expensive), which one would you purchase For example, Top Jimi sells an Everything Pack for 259.99, Michael Wagener sells an Uber Pak for 240.00 and so on. As for myself, I play hard rock (using a Les Paul), but would like a profile pack with a variety of amps, especially in regards to frequency distribution (in other words a profile pack which covers a lot of ground on the frequency scale). Personally, i became much more satisfied with the kemper when i bought mbritts tweed pack. I like that sound, so i can use those amps (3 of them, at about 8-10 different settings each) for a heavy majority of material. Kemper Taf Drive King Free One FromI fill the rest with his rig pack that is available for everyone, and the free one from his homepage. I am just about to get his vox pack though, since i realized i have a use for it. I havent tried profiles from all of those you mentioned, but for me, mbritts profiles have worked by far the best. When it comes to simple things like an ac30, pulling up the one from mbritt sounds like what i expect, while ampfactory ones can sound a pretty much however (even if a significant portion is useable sounds). Ive bought a lot of Kemper profiles from TAF, (The Amp Factory) and a few from M Britt. ![]() Thats not to say M Britt arent excellent, which they are I simply think the TAF profiles (when compared to the same amp model) sound better to my ear. Although Im a huge proponent of The Amp Factory, I would not recommend spending 836.40, which is 1043.88 US - simply too much to spend. I always recommend the TAF single pack Modded Marshall JCM800 which can be found on this page: Download Categories Pack 1: The Amp Factory Simply EQ using the basic EQ controls for your particular guitar. Also, always dial the Gain knob up or down on any profile to get what you want. My favorite clean is actually from the Modded Marshall JCM800 pack - in its original form from Andy it is heavily distorted, but manually dialing out all the Gain revealed (for me) an extraordinary clean that I use most of the time for cleans.
